Tulips & Butterflies

Hi! Here's a card I made today, using a new Bugaboo digi. I coloured with inks and a water brush, and added a couple of gems to the butterflies.

The Strangest Card Request...

A lovely friend of mine is going into hospital next week for an operation, and she has a rather severe phobia of hospitals and feeling out of control. She's being as positive as she can, while feeling absolutely terrified, and she is facing it head on and finding little ways to feel like she's in control of the situation, planning to take music, herbal remedies, crystals, all the things she loves with her. We were chatting about her plans, and I said something about her attitude being really good, that she was finding ways to work around the phobia, and telling it that she certainly wasn't going to be defeated by it. Anyway, she liked what I'd said so much, she asked me to make it into an affirmation card to take to the hospital with her! Apologies in advance for the 'effing and jeffing'...

I love Lavinia stamps, and I thought something pretty and magical would offset the rather aggressive words quite well!

I hope she will like it, and that it will make her smile a little bit while she's going through something so traumatic.

Birthday card for my mum

Hi! Here's a card I made for my mum's birthday. It's a remake of a card I made a few weeks ago, but bigger, so I could add a cat :) I think it works better than the original, as it's less cramped.

I used ink dusters for the background, and Lavinia stamps, then added gold Woodware foil around the edges and on the fairy's wings. I coloured the cherry blossom with inks, and added Glamour Dust to the blossom.

A bit late, but...

Hiya! Here are 3 Mother's Day cards. At least I'm all set for next year...

I made this first one using a digi stamp from Lizzie Love. I coloured with inks and a water brush, drew the flower stems and stamped the leaves. I 3D-ed one of the flowers to give a bit of dimension, punched tiny flowers for the centres and added a gem.

I made this next one by clear embossing the flowers, and colouring with Brushos and inks. I went a bit crazy with some Glimmer Mist over the top of it, so it is quite shiny and hard to take a photo of! I added gems to the centres of the flowers.

Hi! Here are a couple of cards I made using one of my favourite Woodware Stamps. I cut a circle mark, created the backgrounds with ink dusters and then stamped the image over the top. I coloured the stems with Aquamarkers, and then added bling with some gems.

Gold Foil Fairy

Hi! Here's a card I made using ink dusters for the background, and Lavinia stamps. I used Woodware foil around the edges and on the fairy's hair and wings, for a bit of shine. I bought the foil last year, after seeing it being used on some beautiful Lavinia cards at the NEC Hobbycraft show, but this is the first time I've had a go with it. I love the effect!
