Shimmery Sprays Again

Hi! Now my sprays are out, I've gone a bit crazy with them. I've made another card by using shimmer sprays over clear embossed images, just a simple 'thank you' card this time:

Too much grunge for a Wedding card?

Hi! I'm going to a wedding next Saturday, and wanted to make a card for the Bride & Groom that wasn't the usual white / silver / gold. I clear embossed the stamped heart and then used glimmer sprays to create the background, but I'm not sure. Is it too grungy for a Wedding card? It shimmers different colours in the light, though. Maybe it would work better with just one colour spray, a light gold or something? I might have another try later. Anyway, here's the card:

More Sprays

Hi! Here's another card I made with clear embossing a stamped image and then going crazy with glimmer sprays & water sprays! I'm quite pleased with how the colours have blended on this one:

Come fly with me

Hi! Here's a card I made for the Paper Shelter challenge: "Come fly with me". I love these little birds!

Sprays / Mists... and a lot of mess

Hi! Less Is More have a "Sprays / Mists" challenge at the moment, so I've been trying things out and generally making a big shimmery mess all over my desk. I did my spraying in an deepish A4 box lid, but I still managed to get it everywhere :-s

Anyway, here's what I made. I inked with Versamark through a stencil and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I used Crafty Notions and Tattered Angels glimmer sprays to create the background and the butterflies:

MFT Colour Challenge

Hi! MFT Card Challenges has a gorgeous colour challenge at the moment:

I stamped the image on watercolour paper and then used Stampendous Shabby White embossing enamel. I used Brushos to add the colours and let them mix and blend. I added gems to the centres of the flowers. Here's how it turned out:

Hmmm, does it look like a post-it note!?

Hi! I've just made a card inspired by the colours in the current Cupcake Inspirations challenge, and the sketch from the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge:

I masked off the rectangle at an angle on square card, stamped the images and then used ink dusters for a golden orange background. However, I'm not sure now whether it just looks like a post-it note with a couple of flowers on it ;-s  I added some stickles to the flowers, too, which made the ink go a bit too pink - it's actually purple, the same ink as the sentiment.

Here's the card:

CAS Colours & Sketches 4

Hi! This is my last week as a guest designer for CAS Colours & Sketches! This week's challenge is a sketch:

I struggled with this one a little, so ended up making two cards for it! Here's what I came up with:

This one was coloured with ProMarkers, and then smothered in Glamour Dust.

This one is also coloured with ProMarkers and drowned in Glamour Dust, with some little blue gems to add some Christmassy sparkle :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Post-Holiday Blues

Hi! My fella & I are just back from a wonderful holiday with my lovely mate Linda (Crafty Distraction) and her family! We had an amazing time, but now it's back to work, and I'm fighting off the post-holiday blues by binge-watching old episodes of Charmed, and making cards!

Here's one I just finished, inspired by the challenges at Less Is More and Color Throwdown:

I'm thinking of trying a Christmas version of this card, by adding some glittery snow to their heads...
