Boxes of Kittens

I recently bought a new digi from Sami Stamps, and I made a couple of cards today using it. The first one was inspired by the colours in these two challenges:

MFT Color Challenge

The Sisterhood of Crafters 'Pink & Lavendar Photo Inspiration'

Here's my card:

I'm also entering it into the Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Too Cute!', because it doesn't get much cuter than boxes full of kittens...

I made the same card with a slightly different sentiment, and different colours:

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:

Less Is More '2 of 4 Legs' (even though technically there are 16 legs altogether...)
Crafty Creations 'All Creatires Great and Small'

And more flowers and butterflies...

I also made another card with the same stamp, inspired the colours in the Fab Friday challenge:

and also by the CAS on Sunday challenge 'Tic Tac Toe' :

Using 'Birthday', 'Butterfly' and 'Ribbon', here's my card:

I'm also entering this one into The Crazy Challenge 'Use ribbon or lace'

Flowers, Butterflies and a Sketch

I've made another card with my new flowers stamp, inspired by Sketch Saturday's current challenge, which is 'Choose Any Sketch'. I decided to use this one:

New Stamps!

I've been on eBay again, which is always dangerous... my new stamp set arrived this morning, and I really love them! They were free with one of the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazines, but the seller had never used them.

I've made a couple of cards using one of the flowers images and a Happy Birthday sentiment;

This one was inspired by the gorgeous colours in the Colour Me! challenge:
I'm also entering it into the Sparkles Monthly challenge 'It's Spring'

For both cards I used the Papertake sketch no. 64:
The current Papertake Challenge is 'Take Your Pick', which meant you could 1 or more of the following:
  • Any Papertake sketch
  • Glitter
  • Blue and/or green
  • Easel Card
I'm entering the card below in the challenge because it has the blue (with a tiny bit of green), and uses the sketch:

I'm also entering it into the Cas-ual Friday challenge, which involves using tan, white and one bright colour. I'm hoping they will forgive the two tiny green leaves being an additional colour... :)

Daisy Bling

I made another daisy card, and went for a bright summery red. I wasn't sure what to do with the centre of the flower and decided to add a few gems, but I got a little carried away...

Anyway, here it is:

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Simply Create Too 'Keep It Simple'
Crafting When We Can 'Bling It Up'
Creatalicious Challenges 'Butterflies'

Pretty Lights or Measles?

I was really inspired by the Happy Little Stampers sketch below, and by the House of Cards Bokeh Effect Challenge

I decided to have a go, and used the colours from the Color Throwdown challenge:

Here's what I came up with, and at first I liked the subtle colours, but then I thought maybe it looks a bit measley... I added a few gems, in the hope that it would look more like pretty spots of light than a disease...

I'm still not sure, but I'm going to enter it into the challenges above anyway, and also into these challenges:

Happy Anniversary

Hi! Just been trying out my new heart stamp, and playing around with a sketch, and with colours from a couple of challenges. Here's what I've come up with, the same card with two different colour schemes:

I'm entering this one into the following challenges:

ColourQ

I wasn't sure about using these colours for an anniversary card at first, but I like the freshness of the yellow. Colour challenges are great because you try things you would not normally think of :)

More Watercolour Flowers

Inspired by the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge, I've been trying to make cards using these colours:

I made a couple of cards which didn't turn out very well, so I'm going to keep them hidden! But I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out, so I'm entering it into the challenge:

I get a bit obsessed with square cards, so I tried one as a 5x7 card as well.

I'm entering this one in the following challemges:
Inkspirational challenge: 'Purple'
Allsorts challenge: 'Happy Birthday'
Cupcake Inspirations: 'Bugs & Butterflies'

I love this stamp, and was having fun using the water brush, so I made a couple more, but in deep red.

I'm entering this one in the Friday Mashup challenge: 'Butterflies'

I'm entering this last one in the following challenges:

Sorry, I ate your chocolates...

Made a couple of new cards, on the theme of eating the chocolates you have bought as a present... Does anyone else have this problem?

Anyway, here are the apologetic cards, using digistamps by From the Heart:

I'm entering this first one in the Crafty Sentiments: 'Anything Goes' challenge

This one was inspired by the colours in the Color Throwdown challenge:

Blue, Green & Grey

I love the colours in the Cupcake Inspirations challenge, here:

I've made a couple of versions of a card using these colours, and am entering this first one into the challenge. I stamped the image with grey ink (Watering Can Archival Ink) onto watercolour paper, then coloured using a water brush and Andirondack inks Meadow, Sunshine Yellow (to soften the green a little) and Sail Boat Blue. I matted the image onto another square of watercolour paper, painted green, and then added that to folded grey card. I added the butterflies to give it a little bit of depth.

Favourite Flower Stamp

Hi! Here's another card I made today:

I made this one for the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge: 'Blossom' by masking the squares and stamping one of my favourite flower stamps into the squares.

I coloured it using the beautiful colour combination at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:

Butterflies & Blossoms

I still haven't got the CAS Colours and Sketches sketch out of my system, and have made some more cards with it. Here's the sketch again:

I'm entering the card below in the CAS Colours and Sketches - it's their own fault that they're getting 2 entries from me. They shouldn't have made the sketch so annoyingly addictive.

I'm also entering this in the Just Us Girls challengeI love this colour combination! I think I might try making some more cards with these colours :)

Cats & Bears

There's a challenge over at Tip Top Tuesday, and the theme is 'Animals'. So I've been busy making cards, featuring cats and bears. Here are a few pics:
