Stencilled Tree

Hi! Here's a Christmas card I made which is hopefully subtle enough to be ok for a man. It's really hard to make non-blingy Christmas cards! I made this one by sponging distress oxides over a stencil, then spritzing with water. Once dry, I gave it a spritz of Glimmer Mist, so it has got a bit of a shimmer.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps:
Watercooler Wednesday:
That's Crafty!: 'Stencil It!'
Stamping Sensations: 'One Layer Christmas Cards'

Ingredients:
Imagination Crafts stencil: Fir Trees
Sentiment stamp from Happy Little Stampers
Distress Oxide Inks: Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, Peeled Paint
Glimmer Mist: Iridescent Gold

Wow! What a striking clean and simple card! I love the effect of the stencilled Oxide inks. The tree looks amazing. Some people don't know when to stop, but it's a talent you clearly own. There is nothing more that needs to be added to this gorgeous card. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

What a great masculine CAS card. You're right it's hard to make something for a guy that isn't covered in bling, but you've accomplished that in a very high end way. Love the use of the stencils, and the oxide blending. Beautiful results. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Love that stencilled tree! Great colour combo and really clean stencilling. How did you manage to spritz without it running under your stencil? Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
