Tulips

Hi! Here's a card I made for the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. I was originally thinking of using 3 separate flowers to follow the sketch, but this stamp has the same kind of shape, if you count the butterfly. I coloured the stamp with inks and a water brush, then added a bit of detail with a white Uni Posca pen. I added a gem to the butterfly and the 'i's in the sentiment.

Little Bats!

Hi! Here's a card I made for Halloween. I created the background by smooshing with Distress Oxides, then spritzing with Glimmer Mist. I punched a circle of double-sided adhesive for the moon, stuck it to the card and smothered it with gilding flakes. I absolutely love the look of gilding flakes, but I don't use them very often because they are so messy and seem to get everywhere! But I thought they worked really well for a Halloween moon. I die cut my bats out of black cardstock, and then used a bit more double-sided adhesive on a scrap of card, covered it with more gilding flakes, then cut a couple of pieces down to fit behind the bats, to give them bright shiny eyes.

It was inspired by the current Muse challenge, the colours from the Color Throwdown challenge, and the inspirational photo from the Inspired by All The Little Things challenge. I masked the panel, stamped the leaves several times with Versamark, and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I added the green, orange and purple with ink dusters to create the background.

I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and water brush, and a silver pen. When it was dry, I used a Wink of Stella pen on the petals to give a shimmer to them, although it doesn't show up very well in the photos, so you'll have to take my word for it! :)

Monsters!

Hi! Here's a card inspired by this week's Cupcake Inspirations challenge, 'Monsters'. I used the colours from the current MFT challenge. I coloured the image by scribbling with watercolour pencils, then smoothing it out with a water brush, trying to still leave a bit of texture to suggest monster fur!
