My Cousin's Wedding

Last Saturday was my cousin's wedding, in Glasgow. It was a beautiful service, full of laughter, and my cousin and his gorgeous bride looked so happy, it was infectious!

I made this card for them. I stamped the image on watercolour paper and embossed with platinum embossing powder, then coloured with brushos. When it was dry, I mounted it on silver card. I printed the sentiment on a larger piece of card, backed onto more silver card, then used 3D squares to fix the image in the centre.

I had a little bottle of red heart confetti and a bronze heart locket with 'Wish Box' written on it, which I'd hoarded for the right project. I attached them to some bronze chain, and added another strand with a little heart charm on it, and fastened the chains to the top of the card. The 'Wish Box' locket opens, so I printed out a little message saying 'happily ever after', cut it out and folded it so that it would fit inside the locket.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Just Us Girls: 'Something Old and/or Something New' (Old: Wish Box locket and Hearts jar. New: Platinum embossing powder)
HLS Watercolour Challenge: 'Anything Goes - optional twist: Bloom'
Creative Inspirations: 'Anything Goes'

Ingredients:
Indigo Blu Stamp: 'Love Is'
