Happy Little Stampers Sketch

Hi! I am so happy to have been invited as Guest Designer for the Happy Little Stampers November Sketch challenge!

Here's the sketch:

I found a tag shape online and printed it off on white card. Using my favourite Lavinia stamps, I stamped the sentiment, the fairy silhouette and the dandelions first, and then added the leaves in deep red, orange and yellow. I used the same ink pads to create the background, using ink dusters. I added Stickles to the fairy's wings and to the dandelions, to add a bit of sparkle. I cut a rectangle of burnt orange card, and stamped with the dandelions and leaves.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Magical Autumn (With Glitter & Stuff)

Hi! Here's another one-layer card for the Less Is More challenge, but this time with glitter and gems instead of embossing. I'm not sure the glitter shows up very well in the photo, but it's all over her wings, and on the tips of the flowers.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Less Is More: "One Layer - Autumn"

Lavinia: "Glitter & Gems"

Crafting When We Can: "Whimsical With Wings"

Clear It Out "Theme: Things with wings  Stash: Glitter"

One layer Autumn Card

Hi! Less Is More have a One Layer Autumn challenge at the moment, so I've had a go at a couple of cards.

For this one, I masked the panel with post-it notes, but I cut a flower border in one to get the pattern above the panel. Took me ages to get all the sticky bits of post-it off the punch and the newly-made stencil, though! I stamped and embossed a few times in gold first, and then stamped again in yellows, oranges and deeps reds. I used ink dusters for the background. I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment, but it's a bit speckly as I forgot that you have to be careful when embossing after removing post-its, as the embossing powder can stick there :-s  Oh well. Here's my card:

Muse Inspired Brushos Card

Hi! Inspired by this week's Muse challenge, I've been playing around with Brushos to get some lovely vivid colours! I've taken the colours, the flower and the white sentiment from the Muse card. Here's a couple of variations of the design:

A Bit of a Weird One

Hi! I've slowed down on the card-making front, partly because we have a lot going at the moment, and partly because I've been having a lot of migraines. I've just upped the dose of my migraine-preventative pills, which has made me feel rubbish and drugged for the last few days, so I thought I'd try to make something to cheer myself up! So... this is what I came up with. Yes, I know, it's a bit weird. Still deciding whether I like it or not.

Less Is More has a 'Jewel Colours' challenge at the moment, Addicted to Stamps has a photo inspiration challenge which inspired these colours against black, and City Crafter has a 'Scribble Doodle Fun' challenge.

On white cardstock I doodled the flower with an embossing pen, and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I coloured the image with distress inks and a water brush, and then cut it out and 3D-mounted it onto black card backed with Tip Top Taupe card. I added gems for a bit of bling.

Less Is More: "Jewel Colours"

City Crafter: "Scribble Doodle Fun"
