Ellie & Squeak Stamp

Hi! I recently won a Wags 'n Whiskers stamp, and I just had a go with it for the first time tonight:

I've tried to keep it fairly simple, and just added a bit of shine with Stickles and Liquid pearls.

Uh Oh, New Obsession Sets In...

Oh my goodness, I LOVE Brushos! So I'm still making a mess and trying to work out how to use them, but I'm having a lot of fun and might have to go get some more colours...

I made this card with watercolour paper, clear embossing the stamped image first, and letting loose with the Brushos and hoping for the best. I used a snippet of leftover card for the butterfly, once I'd trimmed the image down. I decided not to add gems or glitter - I just love how the colours have blended, so I'd like to leave it as it is.

I'm entering this in the challenges listed below. A couple are CAS, so I hope this is CAS enough... there is some white space on the card, and the image is white...

Brushos... and a whole lot of mess!

Hi! Here's my first card made using Brushos! I have lots of discarded bits of card and lots of mess from failed attempts, but I really like how this one turned out! Next time I'm going to clear emboss the image, as this time I stamped in dark grey and planned to have a subtle background but the paints just took over and went really rich and vibrant. I had too go over the stamp with my white Uni Posca pen, as you could hardly see the image! But anyway, here's my first Brushos card:

I've included a couple of close-ups to try to show the rich, vibrant colours - I should have waited until tomorrow to take photos in daylight! Anyway, if you haven't tried Brushos, they are extremely messy, but they are beautiful! I think I just need a fair bit of practice...

Midsummer Moonlight

Hi! I've been playing around with Brushos tonight - I bought them about a few days ago, and have just started to have a go with them. And I failed. I have made a mess, I am covered in paint, my desk is covered in paint... so these powders are VERY concentrated, you only need a tiny bit...

So I gave up on that, cleaned my desk as much as possible, put the Brushos away and got my ink dusters and Lavinia stamps out instead! And here's what I made:

I added Liquid Pearls to the blossoms, and Stickles to the other flowers. I used A Wink of Stella and Stickles on her wings and hair.

A Cloud of Flowers

Hi! I've been struggling with the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch! I'm still deciding whether or not I like it, and I might try again with less flowers... I like the colours though, which were inspired by the current Just Us Girls inspiration photo!

Here's the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch

Monochrome Cat

Hiya! Here's another CAS cat card - I LOVE this Katzelkraft stamp!

Lazy Cat

Hi! I don't make man cards very often, because it's so difficult.... why don't they like flowers and glitter!? But anyway, here's a card for a cat-lover, and I reckon it's ok for a man, despite the tiny little gem on the cat's tail. It's hardly noticable...

Recycled Snippets of Precious Papers

Hi! Less is More have a "Snippets" challenge at the moment, and Wags 'n Whiskers have a "Recycle" challenge, which inspired me to dig out all my leftover scraps of paper, which don't usually get used for anything! I stamped the images onto the papers, and used 3D foam to give them a bit of dimension. I wanted to keep the design simple and not too fussy, so I just coloured the flower centres a darker orange and added Stickles:

Chevrons and Pink Petals

Hi! CASology have a 'Line' challenge at the moment, so I decided to combine that with some chevrons, and then soften the geometic patterns with some stamped petals, coloured with ink and a water brush. I used Crafty Notions rainbow drops for the centres of the flowers, because I found them in my craft cupboard the other day when I was looking for something else...

Fab Friday Colours

Hi! I've just made a card inspired by a colour challenge, a sketch and a bingo board! I used the Summer Silhouettes SU stamps, added Stickles to the flowers, and used a little gem to dot the 'i' in 'birthday'. Here's what I came up with:

Summer Sailing!

Hi! I've been looking through some challenge themes and Addicted to CAS have a Chevron challenge at the moment. I'm not very good at geometric cards, but chevrons made me think of waves, and that fitted in with a couple of other challenges I've seen, including the Shopping Our Stash challenge, which is all about how you like to relax :)

Anyway, here's one of the cards I made:
